Military Mo

High up the side. Twenty-one years old. Off to Vietnam he went. Man looked all business. Rarely talked about his experience over there. Was just opening up before he passed. Never took military benefits. Was very disaffected with military actions.

Life tip #493,384: Write stories down. They last longer. Or just take a lot of photos. That helps, too. If weren’t there, refer to part one.

Like my dad, I’m a sucker for a country song with killer harmonies. The one below has got me by the proverbials. Will have to end this session early just so I can stop listening to it on repeat.

Pops didn’t love the lord, carry a bible or a .44.

They don’t make them like him anymore, though…

He was something else, my old man.
